LAB - White Rabbit

In the frame of the Summer Academy 2017 of LOD muziektheater, Jamie & Bérengère were invited to further develop the production WHITE RABBIT and work on different themes ('adults in a child's world', 'seeing and hearing, seeing but not hearing and hearing but not seeing' & 'juxtaposition of materials').
The objectives of the LAB were to test musical language, to work with children and teenagers in an opera-environment and to work out the dramaturgy of the piece.
They worked with 5 kids/dancers, with Emma Posman (soprano), Jackie Janssens (throat singer), Brecht Beuselinck (sound technician), Bart Cappelle (dramaturge) and ensemble SPECTRA (string quartet). The LAB ended with a presentation of the project and a discussion with the audience.
